Prof. Dr. Khiew Poi Sim

University of Nottingham Malaysia

Dr. Khiew Poi Sim received his Bachelor and PhD degrees in Applied Physics from National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is now an associate professor in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and serves as Deputy Director for Materials, Mechanics and Structures Research Division in the Faculty of Engineering. He has been involved intensively in many scientific and technology based research projects that are sponsored by a number of reputable funding agencies, such as MOSTI, MOHE, MOA and CRADLE. He has published more than 70 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His inventions have been recognized by a series of innovation awards for the outstanding accomplishments in the advanced materials research. He serve as a technical reviewer for many international scientific journals, including Crystal Growth of Design (American Chemical Society), Journal of Solid State Chemistry (Elsevier) and Polymer Composite (Wiley Interscience). His current research work focuses on nanoscience and nanotechnology advancement, especially on utilizing the nanostructures (semiconductor, ceramic and polymer composite) for photocatalysis, organic photovoltaic and microelectronic applications.

   
 

Prof. Dr. Ho Jee Hou
The university of Nottingham, Malaysia

 

Jee-Hou Ho received his B.Eng (Hons) and M.Eng degree in mechanical and production engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and PhD degree from The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. He was a researcher at the Robotics Research Center in NTU, primarily involved in simulation platform development for underwater robotics vehicles and ground mobile robots. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, delivering undergraduate courses in machine dynamics, robotics and automation technology. His research interests are in the area of vibration energy harvesting, mechatronics and bioinstrumentation.

 

   

Prof. Haider F. Abdul Amir
University Teknologi Mara in Shah Alam, Malaysia

 

Prof. Dr. Haider F. Abdul Amir obtained his Master and PHD degree in Engineering Physics (with Concentration on Semiconductor Devices, Instrumentations and Nuclear), from Faculty of Engineering, University of Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, secondment of Osaka University Japan. He had his first degree in Faculty of Sciences, University of Baghdad at Iraq. He had taught at many universities and Institutions, in Iraq and Indonesia. He is currently working as Associate Professor in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Malaysia since 2006. His current research interests are nanotechnology in electronic, semiconductor materials, nuclear physics and green technology. He has a track record of fundamental research on these topics which is documented by numerous publications. He has been reviewer for numerous journals and indexed papers, such as Borneo Science, IEEE, ScienceDirect.
